Our Mission

At Lord of Life Lutheran Church, we are excited about the mission that God has given us!  In addition to our mission, we believe that God has called us to be “the church with a really big heart”!  We have a heart for God, for Edgewood, and for you.  We invite you to come and join us in living out our mission together!

Our mission starts with worshiping God, since our life as a church family is centered in our Sunday morning gatherings.  In our 8:00 and 10:30 worship services, we hear the words of Scripture applied to our lives, receive the gift of Jesus’ body and blood in Holy Communion, and celebrate all that God has done for us.  We invite you to come and worship God with us!

Worship feeds us and builds up our spirits, so we can open our hearts and minds to grow in faith in the God who loves us so much.  Lord of Life Lutheran Church offers an exciting and creative Sunday School program for children, Bible Studies for adults, and many other opportunities to learn more about God’s Word and talk about matters of faith with people who care about you.

Worshiping God and growing in faith anchor us in the Christian life and give us strength for serving the Lord in the world.  Our church has many ways to fulfill the third part of our mission: reaching out to others with the love of Jesus Christ.  You are invite to come and serve the hungry at The Sharing Table with us, or join Team L.O.L. in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, or make Quilts for those in need around the globe. 

The people of Lord of Life Lutheran Church know from first-hand experience that when you reach out with Jesus’ love, that love is returned to you many times over.  That’s what makes fulfilling our mission from God exciting and rewarding.  Come and join us!  There is a place for you here as we live out our mission and follow the Lord of Life, Jesus Christ!
