What We Believe
Lord of Life Church is a Lutheran Church, which is a Christian church rooted in the Reformation led by Martin Luther. We believe that God has saved us from sin and death through the death and resurrection of his Son, Jesus Christ.
Lutherans find joy, strength, and peace for daily life in God’s promise that we don’t earn His love by what we do. Instead, God gives us the gifts of salvation and eternal life because he loves us and wants to show us his amazing grace.
We believe that God came down to us in his Son, Jesus Christ. Now that Jesus has died, been raised to new life God, and ascended into heaven, God is present with us through the Holy Spirit. We look forward to Jesus returning one day in glory and making the world, which is marred by sin and death, right again according to God’s eternal plan.
God loves us and makes us into his children through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. He continues to nourish and strengthen us by giving us Jesus’ body and blood in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. God’s Word, the Bible, proclaims the good news of what God has done for us through the death and resurrection of his Son, Jesus Christ.
Jesus is the Lord of our lives. We seek to follow him as his disciples and share the good news that Jesus is alive. Believing in Christ brings us joy, hope, and peace! We hope that you will join us at Lord of Life Lutheran Church to hear the story of God’s amazing love for you!
