Youth Group

Lord of Life’s Youth Group involves middle and high school youth and meets regularly to enjoy Christian fellowship. Our youth are actively serving those in need, participating in retreats to grow deeper in faith, and having fun through regularly scheduled outings.
Check out some of the events in which our Youth Group has participated:
Serving others and the needs of our community:
We’re proud that our youth:
- Went without food or electronics for 30 hours in an effort to raise money for starving children. We raised $1,250 to support the cause to end world hunger. At the cost of $1.00 a day to feed a child, the money raised could feed 3 children for more than a year
- Poured sweat equity into the community of Edgewood by participating in “ServeFest” and cleaning up the neighborhood.
- Served meals at “The Sharing Table,” a weekly lunch program for those in need in Edgewood.
Building excitement about the Christian life through peer fellowship:
Our youth had fun by attending:
- A weekend retreat in Ocean City, Maryland (complete with indoor mini-golf). The youth and adults on the retreat also participated in Bible Studies to grow in faith.
- A local coffee house with great Christian music.
- A fun afternoon of bowling which was made even more special by the participation of other members of all ages from our congregation.
Participating in Leadership and Service at Lord of Life Church:
Our youth are an essential part in the life of our congregation as they:
- Serve as Readers, Ushers, Greeters, Acolytes, Torchbearers, Crucifers, and Nursery Volunteers for Sunday morning worship.
- Serve as helpers at Vacation Bible School.
- Participate in the Yard Sale, Spring Clean Up, and other special events at Lord of Life Church.
